I had one of the best meals on my birthday this year at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY. There is no menu, but a list of over a 100 ingredients that is updated everyday. Everything you are served is from their farm or other local farms, is in season and is the best offerings of meats, fruits and vegetables of the day. There are some interesting items on the menu, that if you choose, can be removed from the list...like brains...I removed this..:)
If you have a special event or just need to get out of the city for the day, this is one place I would not miss....moo....
