LET'S MAKEUP!............................

I'm in LOVE with Guerlain's new Ecrin 6 color eyeshadow palettes......The compact was inspired by a 20's cigarette case which has an intricate filigree cutout design on the cover.....inside there's a foldout mirror and 5 fabulous tonal shades that will last you more than one season.......plus one novelty color just in case you find yourself in the mood for some fun!..........they come in 5 different shade palettes that are named after streets in Paris.......Rue des francs-bourgeois, champs-elysees, rue de passy and rue de sevres........I'm not usually into eyeshadow compacts.....but this one I just had to have......see you out on the town looking for some fun!.......

ROUGH WEEKENDER................

I've been looking for a weekender that already looks like it's been around the world and back without actually having to go......this safari inspired bag from Ralph is definitely it......it's body is weathered canvas and trimmed up antiqued leather.....kind of reminds me of one of those vintage mail totes that you can only buy in Japan or at Melet........I even love the little metal trinkets......so let's get packing....I've got places to go........

Trouble again.....I've found something else to collect & obsess over......not only vintage perfume bottles...but now there are a whole new lot of modern scents that come in luxe vintage inspired bottles, that not only smell amazing, but are equally pleasing to the eye............these are some of my favorites so far......Balenciaga, Valentino, Clive Christian No.1 & Tom Ford Azure Lime........

I've always loved candles that pull inspiration from the past.....like D.L. & Co. & Diptyque.......whose scents and packaging is equally engaging......Soap & Paper Factory & Rock of Ages Press have both created a collection of candles that not only delight the senses, but also add a touch of vintage inspired decor to any room........

YOU DONT' HAVE TO BE IN KENTUCKY................

to get minty....Had such a great time in LA last week......went to a few new places downtown...dinner at Bottega Louie....LA's answer to fresh Italian.....and then walked across the street to Seven Grand for a few Mint Juleps to get ready for the Kentucky Derby this weekend...I'll be betting on Lookin at Lucky............

HILLBILLY NOTHING....................

I am in LOVE with this house that Butch Anthony built which sits on the backwoods of Seale, Alabama......!!! Rustic & homespun yet totally modern......I love all the white played off the natural wood & the vintage touches, but most of all...I love the man......he is a self taught artist & architect...wears Liberty denim overalls & straw hats......and throws a mini-so-called burning man/woman art festival on his lawn in March every year....sounds like something I need to check out.....Thank you NY Times for bringing this to light!.....for more info.........:)

LOOKING FOR A GOOD HEFEWEIZEN?..

and maybe some wienerschnitzel? I spent Sunday hanging out at the Standard's outside Beirgarten under the Highline park, what fun! Great people watching, a little ping pong and some nice German micro brews..........You have to buy tickets for beer & food...tickets are $8....1 ticket will get you a beer or a sausage...2 tickets will get you a giant pretzel....yes! that's $16 bucks for a pretzel....if you've had a lot to drink.....you might need to spend the $16 to soak up the beer...........otherwise I would head inside to the Standard Grill for some oysters & maybe a selection of cured meats....yum! Go with a group of friends & enjoy the outside.....maybe I will see ya there.......who knows.......

HAUNTING INTERIORS..................

I love these paintings by Jeremiah Goodman who creates rich and haunting artworks of interiors that are both elegant and dreamlike.....amazing.....he is an 85 yr. old New Yorker whose work can be seen at The Met and Cooper Hewitt Museums.......must check it out........

I JUST FELL IN LOVE!!...HAPPY EARLY VALENTINES DAY...

CUTENESS!!!! While I was doing research today on Angora yarns....I came across these photos!!! I just died laughing..Where have I been?? How did I now know about these!!! Angora bunnies are sooooo cute & funny...they are a cross between a Gremlin & an Ewok....and Yes..they are real!!! LOVE!!!! I'm going to get me one...sorry Muffin!
