NYC FASHION WEEK COMES TO A CLOSE.........& ENDS WITH A GEM!

NYC Fashion week for Fall 2010 has come to an end, many loves & a few disappointments.....but overall there was lots to get inspired by....I end with another one of my favorites from Marchesa.....the most amazing architectural & whimsical dresses!....they remind me of one of my other favorite designers.....Bao Tranchi....whose imagination is endless & always designs one of a kind wonders...xx........next up....London Fashion Week.....

MORE FALL 2010 NYC RUNWAY WINNERS........

Two more of my favorites so far have to be Jill Stuart....statement coats layered with chunky winterwear paired with mini skirts and dresses......& fabulous draped tops and dresses from Tony Cohen....must get one!

FALL 2010 NYC RUNWAY FAVORITES SO FAR.......

It's not even Spring yet, but the Fall 2010 shows have just kicked off in NYC...Here are my favorite shows so far.......Rag and Bone (of course!)..amazing layers of texture, pattern & military inspired outerwear.....Rebecca Taylor..beautiful feminine sweaters with tiers of ruffles, rosettes and open textures.......Cynthia Steffe......Love the mix of military and feminine paired with school girl over the knee socks......Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti.......Vintage inspired amazingness..not much to say....but absolutely beautiful!......and last, but not least......Thakoon.......love the easy layers of texture and drape....looks so cozy, comfy, feminine and edgy.......more to come.....the week's not over........

TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME AT THE CRYSTAL COVE BEACH COTTAGES.....

There is an amazing historic seaside beach colony located between Newport and Laguna in Orange County, California called Crystal Cove State Park that has about 21 newly restored beach cottages from the 1930's to the 1950's. All the cottages sit on the beach or up on a bluff overlooking the the ocean, and because they are part of the state park, they are very reasonably priced (& unfortunately somewhat hard to book)....They also have an amazing restaurant that sits right on the beach called The Beachcomber which has great views, perfect for breakfast or sunset cocktails.....

This place is quiet, secluded and has lots of tropical plants and wild life to look at from your balcony....

If you can possibly snag one, grab a group of friends and stay at one of the large dorm-style cottages or maybe you need one just for two......

Pretty jersey tops and lace and chiffon dresses look amazing for Spring in Antique Peach!! I also love this color paired with khaki, putty and soft nude......bring on anything vintage inspired......Lace ruffle dress by Wink.... and tiered chiffon dress by Jenny Packham......
